Aerobic Cruiser

I have an Aerobic Cruiser that is about 15 years old. Recently it began making a noise that sounded as though you were dragging a kickstand. It lasted for a couple of seconds and quit. It would do it again periodically. I cannot tell what is causing the sound. Any ideas?

If you're out of diagnosis options, the next step would be to attach an audio recorder to a few key places and stitch the audio together.. the track that's the loudest would tell you where the noise is coming from.. either approximately, or accurately.

Thanks. My local repair guy is putting it up on a bike hoist in an attempt to do what you are talking about.
