Ok so i've started up the ebike 2.0 after months of doing nothing after the first ebike i had was involved in an accident...

ebike 2.0 will be addressing some of the issues that i had with the old ebike. however I've stuck with the hardtail cause I'm worried about the battery weight on the back with a seat rack....

the new frame is a Fuji nevada 3.0 2008 with disc brakes. it's a very upgradeable frame but for what i'm going to be using it for, I'll be leaving it as is... however may change the front crankset to a 50T or 55T not sure but i want to keep up pedalling with it when i'm on full throttle.

The photos were taken after the ride from the bikeshop up the road from my house. I've gotten them to fit a hookworm at the front wheel (my x5304 already has a hookworm on it). Also the seat on the bike is from my old bike.... i might try the other seat to see if its comfy....

You probably noticed that I got no rear brake on it at the moment. I'm going to put in a v-brake on the rear cause it doesn't really the disc caliper doesn't fit that well... well it does but the caliper scrapes the electric hub. also the topeak rack that I have doesn't fit with a disc brake setup.

the 48v pack has a couple of dead cells so the top speed i got was 49km/h. You can tell with the wide tyres that its much much more stable at high speed.

quick update...

got a Ping v2.5 48v 15ah pack a couple of months ago.

Gotta say its pretty awesome... only gripe is the charger which died a week ago (got to get in contact with Ping and get a replacement one) but fortunately i have a spare. I've done around 1200km+ on these now and they are still going strong!

I also added new front brakes on it... Avid Codes 180mm. I have to admit if you want to stop on a bike going from 50km/h to 0 on a dime... it would definitely have to be the Avid codes. They have a crapload of power, to the point where i was nearly thrown off the bike a few times while hard braking!

The bike isn't as clean now cause it's been wet around melbourne and the bike is covered in dirt and road grime. I have to find the time to clean it lol
