Vehicle Description

Up for auction is a 1999 Rav 4 that has been >>professionally<< converted to an electric vehicle that has a better range and top speed than the factory Rav4 EV. It has a powerful 156 volt 2600 amp Lithium Iron Phosphate (lifePo4) battery pack which is the newest, most powerful, safest battery for an EV. Each cell is protected by a battery management system that optimizes battery performance and charging and ensures a long service life. The drive system is powered by an 11.45" diameter, series wound DC warp 11 43 hp motor with advanced timing that puts out 135 ft/lbs torque and is controlled by a Zilla Z1K controller ( the most advanced controller available ) It can go 0-60 mph in 15 sec and the top speed is electronically set at 80 mph. The average Range per charge is 150 miles and may get better as the brushes and batteries wear in. A Pack Tracker battery monitor is mounted to the dash to let you know the condition of you batteries.

This vehicle comes with a 3 year Warranty on the all electrical components that were used in the conversion, an advanced battery charger built into the car and a build sheet detailing all aspects of the conversion as well as tech support phone # s

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me

The chassis has 145k miles and it has 570 miles since converted

Sweet! Just don't try to outbid Ed Begley for it.

Nice to see these on the market, hope more electricians make them.

I would like to see a series of instructable vids somewhere on how this guy did the conversion. I have a sweet Rav4 sitting in my garage that is quite lonely these days and would LOVE to be converted to EV!! PUBLISH the project before the oil companies buy off the technology!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about the RAV 4 in the garage. My EV journey started as thinking I would convert my heavy for it's sise Subaru forester. A lead acid conversion would cost about $10,000 and be able to go about 10 miles per charge. To do a Lifepo4 conversion would add about $20,000 more. Nothing like that in my wallet! I finally found the level I can affford with an two electric bikes.
