Location
Wylie, TX, USA
If you have not filled in the location in your user profile, please do so NOW. Just the country you are in if you're paranoid. It will save time for everyone, but yourself mostly.

I dont get it, whats up? Is the forum getting upgraded? What is location important?

It's important because if we don't know what country you are in, how are we supposed to recommend a vendor, repair shop, kit to buy, etc.. etc. etc. I don't know where you are, Suppose you asked one of these questions. Suppose I lived in the same area and had a part I'd give you. You wouldn't know because not knowing wtf you are I wouldn't even respond.

For sure, if you want advice, or want to sell it, give us a location. Pointless to suggest the advantage of an in country vendor that is in the USA, when you are in Sweden or whatever.

We can often guess, if you use stupid mph likely you are in the USA. Sometimes we just recomend a china vendor because they ship anywhere. Meanwhile you might be a neighbor of Methods or Hyena, and we have no idea.

It would also help to know where you are so locals could get together.

I know there are more Chicagoland memebrs but don't see where they are unless asked. Chicago is a large area to cover.

If you are a fugiive (wanted by the law) or maybe the wife .
I wouldn't list my location. Otherwise why not?

I wish they would make in a must for all new members. I just think it would help everyone.

I agree with this sentiment.

Your location depends on what units you use; metric or American?
Also determines what companies we recommend.
Also determines what your local eBike laws are.
Also determines what your climate is like.
Also determines what your primary language probably is..

ES has members from every part of the globe. It's important to know this stuff.

I'm working on that. Board admins don't know how. I think I found out how and have PM'd one of them.

listing what country I live in is all I would ever offer on a public forum

Well that's really a heck of a lot better than nothing, and really all that's needed. So why not go and do it now?

+1 Unfortunately most have to learn the hard way the risks of sharing their personal details online.

Recommend people consider at least the country and state.

The most recent Melbourne ride I organised had 16 people attend, and most of the names were due to me searching the forum based on city in the profile. Map was damn handy too.

Unless you live in a village, I doubt that any one would guess who ddk is. A nickname and a city is anonymous for most of us who live in populated areas.

That's good enough.

That will do for a start.
Now we need s.s. number birthdate, all bank accounts and routing nos. as well as any c.c. that are not maxed out.
With that info we will be able to figure out the stae and city if you don't want to list it.

Public Forum, so what is the big deal.
Now FaceBook is a nightmare. Here we take about cool stuff not about who's doing or did something to whoever.

I mjust guess there are a few of the 10 most wanted on this forum.

or are you too embarresed that you ride a ebike of drive an EV.

TRY GROWING a pair and list more than a nickname!
