Interesting. Apparently the guy revives low voltage cells and puts them in the pack without capacity matching. He also mentions the reason for low voltage as excessive self-discharge. This would be a great upgrade for a small hybrid car.

Wow! Don't short that baby out!

Doc, I like your big resistor in the background. It reminds me of the ones they use on large mining trucks and railroad locomotives.

now thats what i call diy test lab... lol

Imagine strapping this baby to the side of you bike...

then imagine it shorting on you ...HAHAH

Am I counting 30 parallel strings of batts?

Crap. That's like 2100 amps. Think that would make a pretty good spark flash.

Hi, If you bought these on EBay, 23 DeWalt 9360's would run about $1800 and it looks like they just lined 'em up 10S:23P. Seems odd :? to set up 1750 Wh of energy in a 33V 53Ah array. But that's another one of the beauties of these little A123 beauties, as demonstrated by Bill Dube' with KillaCycle, they handle load sharing in series parallel arrays really well. Bill is apparently using more than 1000 A123's on his race bike.
