This is a dune buggy or kart if you will I got for a couple hundred and pulled the slow 110cc motor out and found a 4.5hp 36v golf kart motor from gordo that was rusted and not moving! So I cleaned it up and put some new bearings in it and replaced the brush wires. Then I widened the front end and put better suspension all the way around the buggy. I added some cooling holes and a centrifugal fan to the motor. I got a 225amp 50v controller and opened it up to find there is 11 of the 20 mosfets missing. I ordered them and added the gate resistors and cranked the pot for current limiting and WALA!

amazing!!

Yeh we are going to get to run it in the 1/8th mile this summer sometime. I might see If I can up the voltage to 100 for a crowd pleasing last run ;)

So I measured the weight on the front wheels and its 175lbs with me in it. The wheelbase is 4 feet. So 4x 175 = 700 ft/lbs at the rear wheels to pull wheelies at a stand still. (as a rough and crude calculation). :) Cant wait to up the power! :)

Great job buddy! I love it!

Thanks man its only going to get faster! Juding from the 70,000 watt kart I can put 3x the power into this motor! :)

This is a welder from 2 shops over trying it out for the first time! :) This is in pure fun and nobody got hurt if anyone posts about safety then the mods will be asked to remove such posts from my threads!

Made a little Mod for all the snow they have in the forecast. :)
actually I widened the rear end since I posted as well.. Its got better tires and a wider axel so its a lot more stable and I have a sway bar if needed.
