Not sure if anyone has had this problem--when I hit about 10mph+ my board starts making a fairly loud wailing sound, getting louder with more speed. It sounds like resonance going through aluminum plate, if that makes sense--I don't think its the motors per se. There are a couple things that are suspect:

My chains might be too tight, and creating a resonance with the aluminum wheel sprockets or my aluminum plate motor mount.

If it's the aluminum sprockets, I may need to get steel.

The online store I got my chains from has a low and high grade #25 chain--I got the cheaper "lower" grade

I may try bolting the plate(s) down tighter, maybe adding a thin layer of rubber between bolted aluminum parts, maybe even drilling a pattern of holes to interrupt the vibration and reduce weight.

I will post back when I solve it.

MTB = Mountain bike. Ergo, eMTB should equal electric mountain bike. I'm not sure what you're talking about, bit I'm sure your terminology isn't helpful.

Considering he posted in the skateboard section and he wrote the word "board" in his first sentance it makes it fairly easy to know what he is talking about.

So i suggest you read the topics before you write your next useless reply.

In this sub-forum, eMTB universally means electric mountain board I do believe. But as I creep up on 50 years old myself, I truly do understand the acronym phobia/hatred and the urge to patronize and scold people that overuse and misuse them as short cuts in this day and age. However, I think in this case and context eMTB makes perfect sense. Ergo, you derped it. Just kidding. :)

Why do you even come to this subforum Chalo? You clearly aren't a fan of the types of vehicles covered here, and your useless acronym corrections and "face eating" comments aren't very useful.
