At lowes yesterday

I saw something new at lowes yesterday. A riding mower with what appeared to be brushed DC motors on the blades. It was a bit odd because the front looked more like an ATV. It had dual a arms front suspension and at first I thought it might be all electric but it had a gas engine with a generator. The motors were pretty beefy, about 6 inches in diameter and at least that tall with fin cooling on the outside. It was a 42 inch cut so each motor was swinging a 21 inch blade.

did you get a model number or take pictures? did it have an electric motor for the drive too?

Possibly the 'Raven'? I remember them appearing briefly last year some time and they were pulled for some issues.

I think it was pretty much a generator stuffed into this weird chassis that ran everything via electric. Also doubled as a generator. Not necessarily a bad idea......
