Aussies: Shipping a bike Syd --> Mel

Hi all, after some advice.
Needing to ship a track bike from Sydney to Melbourne. Not electric so not that heavy.
Some of the quotes from couriers are downright frightening.
Anyone with experience of shipping whole bikes have any advice / tips?

try 'Transdirect couriers'. They are normally the cheapest I can find for bulky items. For example, I got a Yuba Mundo frameset delivered from Melbourne > Canberra for $70 via this mob.
