Hi guys
I have a BBS02 with 46.8V, 9.8Ah battery
It's on a cargo bike and I just put some heavy duty tires on it.
Not exactly efficent, but bulletproof.

I have a hilly 4 mile round trip, I use PAS 2-3 and throttle often.
I'm having to recharge every couple days or it's beeping near empty.
I should charge every day, since running it down probably isn't the best thing for the battery.

Any recommendations on a battery that would give me more range?
It's a hardshell that slides into a carrier on the down tube of the bicycle. I prefer a direct replacement
Battery looks exactly like the one pictured here

btw, I have a USB outlet on battery. Can I plug a portable battery or capacitor into it to charge it on the road?

Thank you for any recommendations!

Why spend a lot of money on a heavier battery if what you have is sufficient? Am I missing something? Just recharge it regularly and you are good to go.

It sounds like you have more than enough battery for your needs. If you want to get the maximum number of cycles out of your battery, I recommend a smart charger (luna cycle makes decent ones) to limit your charge to 80% - and charge it every day. Lithium batterys are happiest when at 20% to 80% charge.

I used to have a battery pack like that, the USB outlet is exactly that: an outlet. It's an option for you to charge a phone or other small electronic device 😁
