Hi,
I’m hoping someone can help direct me to somewhere I can purchase spare magnets or at least a new rotor for my Bafang g062 750w motor? I can a lot of grinding, upon dissembling I found my magnets were not held down and are scoring my motor,I attempted to remove the magnets in order to clean and Jbweld them back on but have unfortunately let a few of the magnets get too close to each other and out of 20, 2 have chipped and one has cracked so I need replacements but can’t find them anywhere. At worst I’d prefer to buy a new rotor than replace the whole motor but I can only find one online on eBay US - but they don’t deliver to the UK. Any help here would be great! If not I may upgrade to a 1000w, but any info regarding this conversion would be great. The bike is a synchgo super monkey, unmodifed- I’m unsure of the controller specs but will open the controller case and see if there’s any markings. It currently runs a 48v battery. Thanks all!

Couldn't say for sure, but it's a fair bet that other similar bafang / 8fun motors will use the same bell-rotor. The only way to know for sure is to compare, so measuring what you have there, then finding any takeapart images/etc (possible) or internal drawings (unlikely) could allow you to measure what they have (dependign on what else is in the image that you know the size of).

But if there is another with the same bell-rotor, you have a larger parts-pool for finding what you need.

You probably can buy a rotor from one of the motor manufacturer sites, perhaps from Bafang directly...but it'll take a while to get there and probably cost as much as a whole motor locally because of shipping and duties/etc.

Oh, and the controller is unlikely to have any specs/etc inside--those are pretty much alwasy on the outside labels. short ot that you'd ahve to check teh bike specs; it'll say what it's voltage and current limit are and that's all you really get off the label of a controlelr anyway. besides sometimes the lvc or throttle voltage range, etc. (but those aren't on there nearly as much anymore).

finding the controller model number on the label could allow you to find out more about it because it'll tell you who actually made it for them, most likely.
