Bafang M600 throttle addition?

I found this thumb throttle that appears to be plug and play - Bafang Thumb (Up & Down) Throttle for eBikes - Volition

However, I do not have an open port on my DP C240.c controller

Am I able to add a thumb throttle to the M600 without reprogramming and bricking my bike?

The throttle doesn't connect to the display but rather the cable the display plugs into. Trace the display wiring back and see where it plugs in, your bike might not be equipped with the cable that has a throttle input. Yes I believe it will work just fine. Hopefully you don't need to get into the software to enable the throttle, but it doesn't hurt anything to test it!
