You didn’t say what Bafang motor, but if it’s a Bafang mid drive, I believe most use 63V capacitors.
Luckily the controller is protecting itself from being fried.
I threw a 63v capacitor in the garbage yesterday. It was from a TSDZ8 controller, but whatever.
Was wrecking it for phase wires only in the cover there.
Lunacycle sells pre-wrecked ones with fancy graphics for about $25, I think, for Bafang.
I had already mucked up a BBS02 controller, so all that all that got scooped out manually the same way.
What one can do, is use an external controller, carefully extract the good Bafang controller, sell it to someone who needs it, and buy the $25 Luna cover. Not necessarily all in that order.
Or trash it and keep the hall plug and as much wire as you can on it and wire it up to an external controller
One could find the same type of plug and load it with more appropriate colored wires, would be ideal.
I have a screenshot someplace of the right hall wires to Bafang's funky colored ones.
That does work. I have a Bafang hall plug harness where the other end is regular colored wires someplace..
I used some kind of wire for the length. It's a minimum of 10 twistings.
So you're looking at
15 15-17 twistings to hook it up like that.
2 power, or 4 power, maybe, whoops.
10 hall, and 3 phases.
