So I have had one heck of a time chasing down this annoying grinding noise from my bbs02. At first I was sure it was a poor gear mesh. However I removed the big final reduction and hooked up my motor and the noise was still there. Then I removed the nylon gear and pinion gear assembly and ran just the rotor shaft. Beautiful silence! That wonderful normal bbs02 noise. After trying to figure out what the heck was up, it couldn't be the nylon gear, the rotor shaft is seating in both its bearings fine, and besides no noise on just that shaft... I determined today it is actually the sealed bearing that the little pinion gear seats directly into. I popped the rubber seals off, completely cleaned the grease out and replaced it. Now it is a bit smoother but you can still tell there is some roughness, bearing must be worn out completely. Does anybody know where I can order a replacement bearing? I dont see these on luna, em3ev, cali, etc.
