I have this old specialized FSR I was fixing up to sale. Crank shifting was all wonky and I noticed that the front derailleur had a cracked arm. I put it away to search for an old deore derailleur to keep it original. In the meantime I saw a guy post a pristine version of the same bike on craigslist and it wasn't selling. This made me rethink selling it so I decided it would be the perfect frame for a bafang mid drive I had sitting around.

So yesterday this happened....

This little bike is a blast. 43 lbs and weighted perfectly. I can pickup three biker with 1 hand just about the frame bag.
Motor lined up perfectly and sits just about the 32 tooth chainring. 48v 14ah battery. I got it up to 25 mph cruising on flat road and let off, but it was still accelerating.
Im going to build up some better battery mounting, install disk brakes and 27.5 wheels.

Pictures.

I'll update once I clean it up.

Nice eBike.
Suspended riding & impressive low weight !
Battery mount fits in there and looks strong.
What size is your chain ring?

It's currently a 32 tooth chain ring. I have a 52t that came with the kit but I wanted the lower range for hills.
Battery is in there super solid right now but I'm going to make a spacer and rubber mounts to eliminate the foam and straps.
