BBSHD feels like a BBS01

Hi I have a bbshd with a Ludacris v1 controller, a 52v 30ah battery & I usually run between 50-60a ! It has always had crazy power, and full speed.

Then I packed her up for a mountain trip and I lost PAS and only get about half power out of my throttle. It feels like it has power and will climb hills without bogging down.. it just won't go fast.

When I lift the rear tire and use the throttle and free spin, I'm only hitting about 55 km/h, whereas I could hit 90 before no problem.

Sounds normal when full throttle and was running fine before I used it last. I tried a separate 52v battery and experienced the same issue.

-I've gone through every setting I could think of using the eggrider display and software.

-Something is causing a major throttle in power.

-It will slowly go faster as I switch through gears, but only about half speed.

-Pas will not work at all. I tried disconnecting all cables and reconnecting.. Nothing!

-when I switch between speed or current in throttle mode (eggrider settings) there is a noticeable difference in power but seems to still cut out and throttle itself.

Any help?

Hope this isn't too simplistic, but did you check the light on your PAS unit to see if it's functioning and the orientation with the magnet on the wheel is appropriate? I had a problem yesterday when my unit (BBS02) lost power for the first time in six years, but not much help here.

Thank you for responding! Yes I did check it and it lights up when passing magnet and the display shows the correct speed when moving down the road. Never had a single problem in the last 2 years.

I had a good suggestion for my problem: remove and clean all connection sites including those to the controller, if necessary. Mr Fechter stated that a light film of oxidation/corrosion could be the culprit.
