fist : i'm french, i hope you will understand my english.
short story : last year i built a bbshd 48v fat bike, it was great but it was stolen, so i do it again.
but this time i see some bbshd advertised in 52v, so i hesitate to go 52v.
here : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32856136005.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.4.539230faO8opzi
i read somewhere that depending on the display, the battery level could not be displayed accurately, if i plan to use a P850display, which is advertised up to 60v , will i be ok with a 52v battery from near empty to full charge ? and reporting the correct charge level ?
i also read about some "bug" causing a full charged 52v battery to trigger an overvoltage error causing the motor to not function.
but is it a "display related" error or a "bbshd controler /firmware" error ? if the shop confirms that their model works on 52v whith a P850C , can i buy safely ?
i still have the 48v battery charger from my stolen bike.
can i use the 48v charger to charge the 52v battery ? ok it will not be a full charge but it wont cause the overvoltage error ?
about flashing other firmwares on the bbshd controller :
i read some articles about it, understanding it can solve some problems (overvoltage bug ?) but it can also cause other problems and brick the controler. about bricking the controller : is it always permanent or can it be / will it be for sure unbricked with flashing another firmware / the original firmware?
any other useful advice ?
thank you
