You need to define "performance". Energy density and power density are both marks of performance but are mutually exclusive...

I find the NCR18650BE to be the best cell for most e-bike pack applications. It will depend on the supplier you buy through and their pricing though. But with the BE cell costing only 2/3 as much as the GA but having almost 90% the energy and lower resistance it seems like a good choice.
