Any company but dillenger.

My bike just got stolen, I had an electric conversion kit i bought form dillenger and I don't EVER WANT TO BUY FROM THEM AGAIN... If you're curious why, I built an entire website explaining it: http://www.dillengerelectricbicycles.com/

Anyways, I'm basically looking for a conversion kit that will get me to ~30MPH without being ridiculously expensive. Is there a list of sites that sell conversion kits somewhere on these forums or online? I looked at the wiki but didn't find anything like this.

I found these links for anyone doing a search for "Best bang for your buck" like i did before posting this:

https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=60790

https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/wiki/index

I'd still like to know if there's a generally agreed upon "best bang for your buck" company

When i added everything that this link has: http://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/29-inch-electric-hub-motor-kit/newest-29-inch-48v-1500w-rear-hub-motor-bike-conversion-kit-1065.html

(controller, throttle....etc...etc...) the total came out to $662

The link I posted has everything for $349...

Is the crystalyte kit really worth almost double the price? Also it seems the crystalyte kit does not include regenerative breaking

Thank god the kit I sell only goes about 25 mph on 48v.

The best bang for your buck kit can usually be found on ebay. See Need Advice in sig.

I bought this kit a year and a half ago,... don't forget shipping added to that, which for me, was well over $100! OUCH!!! After a lot of lookin' around, IMO, it was the "best bang" for MY buck,... even with shipping. I was concerned a bit, being ordered and shipped straight from China and all, ya can't help but to wonder about quality, support, and other issues, but my concerns were unfounded.

Been runnin' it on a 29er Beach Cruiser with a 52V 11.5ah battery from elsewhere, and I couldn't be happier! Haven't yet needed support or parts or anything. I've topped it out at 40mpg on the flat, and I've absolutely no problems in any manner since. It's all I had hoped for and even more. Now, do I run it madly at 40mph all the time? NO!! Only to demonstrate it's capabilities to others, and to occasionally show off among the motorcycles passing thru town,.... deeply impressing them with such performance, lol. Mostly I keep the controller regulated to half the amps, and the speed limited to 15mph, 20 sometimes,... and it's been exceptionally nice. Kinda like a classic performance car that ya drive sensibly everyday, but it has all that I need or expect, and it's far from being a bitty compact. Yes, it was worth it.

And now,.... I'm buildin' another. Don't really want to disassemble my cruiser, it's jus too dang good. Besides, I don't wanna adapt it to a bigger frame dropout. I can't help but to consider other makes and sources to purchase from,... but many arouse greater concerns in me. Ya usually get what ya pay for, ya know? My desires is still for the "best bang" for my dollars,.... so soon I'll be orderin' this,...

I hope again, it will be all I expect,... and even more!
