600 rpm? You must be thinking about military helicopters with 38.55 million $ engines. Smaller it is the higher the headspeed needed.

What is the scale of this project? Noone has ever achieved continuous rotary human powered flight. If you dont use variable pitch props, you must be thinkning about using the speed to control the coax... and the hub would not be the best choice here... IMO... Love to see what you do though.
