Greetings, thanks for reading

Not sure if this is the correct section for DIY but I'm having a hard time getting support from BESV regarding some issues of the bike I just purchased. One of those is by design, the 15mph cut off. The bike may not go much faster as the 290rpm 250w motor and 20" rims runs out of steam around 18mph, however, the constant on/off assist right at the limit gets annoying. The controller does have a red speed limiter wire but I'm not entirely sure what to do with it. If anyone has any experience with this particular brand let me know

Thanks in advance

Show us a photo of your control display (if you have one) and the wires/connectors to the controller. I've never heard of a red speed limiter wire before. Where did you find out about that? Normally speed limiter wires are in pairs so that you can connect/disconnect them.

Their is a picture in the online technical manual/troubleshooting guide but I'll see if I can take a picture after work and write down the controller type as well.

Bummer, looks like the shop who put this together stripped an allen screw and forgot a washer on another nut. Not cool for a bike that's worth more than my car.

Anyways I'll get it tomorrow when I can dremel a slit in the screw and take it out with a flat head.

I provided the manufacture pictures in the meantime

Where's the red wire that you said limits the speed?

Where's the photo of your control panel?

I see photos of a controller and connectors, but no red speed limit wire and no control panel. The control panel is normally on the handlebars.

Under Function #4, it says "speed limitation" and that I believe is the red wire you can see in the picture. I have no tools at the moment to actually take it apart so I can't say. All I have on the handle bars is a watch sized click button device to adjust power and battery etc onto an LCD display.
