I am posting this in case anyone else is having as hard a time as I had in locating these things.

I was looking for these:

What I need.jpg

No matter what I typed in, the best I could find were these:

Of course as soon as I ordered them, I stumbled upon what I initially wanted:

If you want these weld on/braze on/epoxy on brake cable/housing guides, you need to type this into your search:

Surly housing guide, new, investment cast, hollow

You will see that just about every bicycle store with an online presence carries them and they range in price from $2.95 to over $8-00 each. Tree Fort Bikes in MI had the best price that i could find.

This was just an FYI for people who might be interested because unless you include "Surly" in your search only the jagwire guides come up.

This shop has lots of braze on stuff: http://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/HYDRO-BRAKE-CABLE-GUIDE-KIT.html

The issue with Nova is that their shipping is ludicrous. To ship a few of those to my house it would be $16.00. Unless I order 6 or more, it is cheaper to get them from Tree fort bikes @ $2.95 but only $3.00 for shipping

As far as an ebay link is concerned, there are none that I could find.

Here is the link to Tree fort Bikes:

Too bad this isn't the exact same part/manufacturer so you could price match at treefortbikes.com

lol. i can top that EASILY! i asked them for a quote to ship to austria. even though it's only a $10 order they replied very fast! but still the shipping was cracy.
it was $10 for customs declaration, and $34 for int. shipping.
i told them to skip the customs declaration and use an envelope which is <$10 to ship.
we'll see what they are gonna reply.

is someone willing to order 10 sets for me and ship them to austria? but still $16 for US shipping is way too much :(

This is an update.

I received the Jagwire cable holders and the c-clips appear to be proprietary. A c-clip that will fit in the Surly housing which appears to be the standard type, will not fit in them. Not only that but I put one together and I had to pry it off with a pair of pliers which ruined the c-clip.

I would definitely advise against the Jagwire housing guides. I was going to use them on the under side of the rear triangle my Specialized HardRock to route the wiring but now I think they are just $10 wasted.

Izeman, I have never shipped anything to Australia but I would be willing to help you if you kind of walk me through it. I checked and the shipping is the same whether I order 1 or 100 so if it will save you some money, I will order an extra 10. The link to Nova will work out for me now that I need to order enough to make the shipping worth while.

AUSTRIA/EUROPE. not the big island with kangaroos ;)
international shipping is the same as national shipping. nothing special. you just have to claim the value for customs. and as i need 10 of them, value is $11, which is free from customs taxes. i would suggest putting them in a protective envelope - you know these envelops with bubbles inside.
atm i try to check prices, which appear WAY too high. i'll try to find a cheap parcel service.

I will check at the post office tomorrow. Since they weigh next to nothing I will just go with 1 pound and let you know what the cheapest rate is. I will tell them to strap it to a turtle's back if it cheap. as long as it gets there eventually I guess it would be OK.

I will let you know... Austria, no Kangaroos. Got it. My step father was from Hungary, I guess that is your neck of the woods isn't it - kinda.
