well hello, my first post on the forum,
Living in France surrounded by hills I decided to build me an e-bike.
Right now I am building a battery for a 1200 watt motor and I have hit a snag, in my attempt to increase my range I have used 32, 16 amp cells placing 2 cells parallel and the 16 pairs serial giving me a 48 volts 32 amp Lifepo4 battery I did a test run on the bike and it worked fine...............however I did burn one of the triacs on the BMS, and now I am looking for fresh ones, this is not a real problem I hope.
What I would really like to know is if anyone can explain where I went wrong; the BMS can take 60 amps, at full throttle the demand is not more than 1200watt/48volts is about 24 amps, this should be easily within range of the BMS or am is my thinking completely wrong? I do have to admit that the BMS was made for a 48 volts 16 amp batterey, or is the burn out of the triac not related to this but a not so common freak accident?
If anyone can mention a company that sells triac T470 BVOY2E over the internet that would make me very happy
thanks for any response, hoping the Q is not too
