I have a bmc motor that I think the hall sensor is out does anyone do repairs on these motors?

I over heated the motor and the hall sensor and now I get a .22amp drain and no response from the trottle.

You probably melted wires in the axle tube. I fixed one for $200 that had been severly over heated. I replaced all the wiring to the halls and phase coils as all the insulation was melted. Hopefully your phase coils are still good.

so check continuity between your phase wires and the hub itself. also check to see if the red wire to the hall sensors is grounded to the black wire through the hub. don't use the voltmeter to measure resistance on the hall sensor wires themselves because it could damage the sensor, maybe. but if it shorted between the red and hub, or the phase wires shorted to the hall sensor wires it could be a problem. hopefully your hall sensors will be ok.
