BMS purchase for 14s lipo pack

you can use the 15S lipo on the 48V controller.

there is no ambiguity. wes does not know what he is talking about. he does not know how a BMS works and has a need to destroy any conversation in which i am involved trying to help someone. his stalking me has gotten to the point i am more than annoyed.

his deliberate attempts to make people afraid to do anything but what he says is ok is offensive beyond words but there is nothing i can do to stop him from continuing this vendetta against anything that involves using a BMS.

his claims that a BMS will destroy the battery and cause fires as well and his demand that we accept 3.5V as fully discharged because he says it is so is deliberate misinformation and i will not allow this place to sink any deeper into more and more misinformation about batteries and BMSs.
Ok. I've had it. I was tested with over a 150 iq many years ago. I was probably designing hardware and software before you were born. You keep saying I don't know what I'm talking about and yet offer nothing but speculation. I've provided test results. All you've provided is BS words, most of which are untrue. Many of which you repeated in this post that aren't true. Let's start here with your BS.
First
I never said he couldn't use a 15s pack on his controller. I only told FUK why he wanted to use a 14s. 15s was never mentioned.

I've never tried make people afraid of BMS's. And in some instances I've even suggested using them. I do however give them the ups and downs of using one with rc lipo.

I've never claimed rc lipo was fully discharged at 3.5V. To the contrary, and is proven in this post. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=47294 Which I posted over a year ago.

And the only one posting misinformation here is you. Everything you posted is false except about he being able to use 15s.

Update on my BMS purchase. So I went ahead and bought two 24s BMS D131s. Put together a 21s pack and left a few banks spare which wasn't a problem. All went well and did function as advertised BUT I found myself still uncomfortable and slightly paranoid about the set up. I'm not sure I achieved what I was originally after. Safety and convenience. I found myself equally careful and attentive to charging and discharging cycles and refused to blindly charge and go riding. Another issue was the added BMS harness / wiring and additional points of failure. It was a fun project and I don't regret diving in but I have since disassembled the pack and went back to a non BMS set up. I'm okay with relying on my LVC setting on the controller for the discharge protection. This along with my CA. It's actually a relief being back on naked lipos to be honest. I'm not putting down the usefulness of a BMS at all since it's application is essential commercially but I think RC lipo stands alone and if you're going to choose this chemistry I'm not really sure you'd have that much to gain with the addition of a BMS. Just one man's experience talking here... I'll definitely use this BMS for an upcoming non rc lipo BMS project for some more fun.
