BMSbattery Controller Question, "Torque Simulation"?

I'm looking at their Bottle-08 Battery with integrated controller, quick question;

• 1. Is the integrated controller the "torque simulation" one? So I can run the nice PAS without having the have the throttle?
  2. But more importantly, can I use it WITHOUT the LCD screen? Will I still be able to use PAS? I know I woun't be able to change settings, but will it retain settings (for example, PAS at level 3).

Now to suck it up and pay the $120 for shipping :/ Wouldn't happen to have a coupon huh since $550 for the hub and battery isn't easy to swallow

The only important things are the total price and how well the kit works. The control and LCD give a really good riding experience if you use the PAS.
