Hey guys,

Has anyone come across this error? The only reference I seem to find online is a facebook post. Happened today. It's as if the controller and the battery are having a hard time communicating. I've had my bike for just over 2 years, so I know when it sits properly or not.

Bike is a Riese & Mueller Charger with a Bosch Performance CX motor. The battery is a 400W power pack.

connection problems are usually the cause of most communication errors in most systems.

even if something appears to be seated, it could stil have connector issues where female barrels of round contacts are spread or male pins that fit in those barrles are compressed, and no longer making good contact.

or there can be oxidation on surfaces.

or if there are wires from the back of the contacts that run from place to place, they could have a failed connection at either end or anywhere along them. this can be broken conductors in the wire itself, or cracked solder at pcb end, or poor crimp at contact end, etc.

it's also possbile the battery has a problem with a cell or cell group, where it's voltage is too low under whatever conditions you see the error, and the battery shuts down the controller to protect the battery, and then the battery tells the controlelr to display that error.

i don'tknow what the specific error code means, though.
