Finally found a good use of for the recycled laptop cell pack.

Rebuilt a SLA scooter into Lithium. Originally had 24Vx12Ah SLAs. Now has 6SX19P Lithium Cells. 32Ah total capacity for almost three times the run time.

The kids finally appreciate all Dad's tinkering in the garage

I'm keeping a pretty tight leash on the scooter riding. Only dad knows how to charge it (or even check the DOD at this point) and an adult has to be watching when they ride, so the rides have been pretty short so far. But the battery will last for hours.
