Oops..

I wrote settings and now red light is constantly on. I contacted fany on this site, but it seems that he hasn't been here since 2020. I assume there is a tool that can be used to re-write boot loader/firmware...

Any assistance for me to get this issue solved as soon as possible? Controller hasn't been driven yet even 3 kilometres.

What model is the controller?
Also it's not that bad of a experience or expensive to send the controller back to Kelly.

Sticker in the back says:
Serial #: 2305-22038794
Part #: KLS7230S
48-72V 300A STD

Sending it from Finland to U.S. or China (same price for both), costs 119,90eur which is something like 110$
Wouldn't say in-expensive either. New controller though, is almost 3 times of that price.

I've got a KLS6018S lying around, rated 60V 240A phase. Would you be interested? Or are you running a higher voltage battery?

I might be; but I'll definetly first try if it is possible to salvage this one. I also contacted local dealer, who I purchased this from; just a little before year since purchase has gone, so it's still possible to go with minimum damage. I have also contacted Kelly, but as it's now weekend; it's a no brainer that I will have to wait for the answer at least till tomorrow. From the dealer, answer might take even longer as last time when I had to ask a question from them, it took a long time and then I asked it again until they answered and apologised because they have been busy..

Thanks for offer eee291, but..

I purchased a new controller instead; it's model QSKLS7230SF, where I assume that QS in front has something to do with QS Motors, since I purchased it from SiaEcoSys which is a sister company of qs motors. Not sure if this is an authentic Kelly product, works though. F in end of model means anti-theft, wiring has been fixed to have more or less standard connectors for anti-theft system.

Just don't write the settings while the motor is spinning😅
And the newest Kellys have field weakening, maybe that's what the F stands for.

According to seller and Kelly; F stands for anti-fheft. It doesn't really have any wiring, just connectors; anti-theft signal is normally on foot switch, so now there is a green connector.. Kelly verified that this is a genuine Kelly controller that they have created for SiaEcoSys..

About that field weakening.. Is there a updated programming software somewhere that I could use to try it- as my program doesn't mention field weakening in anyway.. I guess there is a setting for that as well..

It's not the topic, but in case that someone ends up here and is interested in Kelly and field weakening; if your controller supports it(mine seems to do) - setting is called min excitation and if you set it to 0, field weakening is disabled. To feel the difference, you need to set it to relatively high (setting from 15 or higher in my case), and that didn't mean double of the speed yet, just a bit faster; but in my case it started to drain my battery real fast, so I ended up not needing that feature. Fun feature though that some people surely want. Kelly does not request extra payment for software to contain this feature.

This red light state is not so bad, especially if you have not flickering red light. Controller can be easy restored. I have project - display for Kelly KLS that can automatically unbrick Kelly. This is my hobby. It's still in development mode.
Not it's possible to change all parameters of Kelly KLS controller direct from this display.
Check video about automatic unbricking Kelly KLS controllers.

It's known fact! Thats why I don't have interest about this. I have two new Kelly controllers with field weaking function activated, but I can not find free time to check it. Because it have very low priority.

It's not true. Check on official site Kelly Controls - Motor Controllers, EV Parts They have option: "Field Weakening Function (+5%)"
But now I know how to activate it on any KLS controller. Even 3-years old firmwares I think will work. I will test it soon.
