Hello,
I have a strange issue with a brushed dc motor controller.
If i run it at 24v - no problem.
at 36V the controller cuts out under load and fault light flashes. (resets by switching off then on)
at 48V the controller cuts out quicker under load and fault light flashes. (resets by switching off then on)

It looks to me as if the board is run on 12V as there is a voltage regulator fitted (not shown in photo's)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

best first guess is the 12V reg is overheating at the higher voltage, and it either flakes out or shuts off due to internal protections, and that causes the relay to drop out, cutting power. Then it cools off and cuts back in, turning back on.

I dunno; unless you could take it apart to do failure analysis on it, you'll never really know. ;) (and even then, you'd need to know what your'e looking for)

Well, you could also compare it's specs off the Meanwell site (if theyre posted, if not you'd hae to aks for them) to the actual power draw of the circuits in the controller powered by it, at the various voltage levels.
