Hi, its been a while since i posted here. I found myself a real briggs brushed motor, i was wondering about high power circuit for thoses kind of motor, ie 10kw+
I looked at some Altrax units and such.

Anyone would share circuit ?

thanks !

with the type of motor , anything less than OSMC (open source motor controller ) is not going to work .

i have read about some students desiging a robot with 2 of these and have used highest roboteq controller with no sucess ! that finally used a design similar to OSMC modified for double current and with current sense .

the inductance is so low that even if the continous current is low on low loads , the starting current and spikes are pretty scarry

Controller without current sensing ON MOTOR for traction application - madness. This applies to most BLDC controllers as well, as only few have current sensing on phase wires. Others blow up on low duty cycles and stall-startups.
