So im having an issue with my NEW Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 6364-245kv. im getting a noise out of the motor when running at low to mid RPM. as well as its not a smooth run like the other. its kinda jumpy at low RPM. it also "looks" like it is running slower than my other one.(same motor)
normally id just warrenty it, but because I ground a keyway in the shaft Hobbyking won't replace it.(anyone else dislike them?)
I'm just wondering possible problems and solutions. assuming it its a bearing issue, can i replace the bearings? or am i looking at a new motor?

Did you dis-assemble the motor to do the keyway? If not then maybe some of the metal from cutting the keyway has gotten into the motor and stuck to the magnets.

I agree with jateureka. The metal grindings will stick to the magnets causing the weird noise @ take off and slow speeds.

Did you put a plastic bag over the motor when you filed down the shaft?

Might be metal shavings but could also be numerous issues.

Make sure your esc and motor connections are tight.

What voltage are you running through the motor?

Also did you calibrate your transmitter and esc?
