CA install headache

With 36 V across the shunt this is all I am getting on the display. No response from the button......anyone know what's going on here?

Just tried this, but it made no difference. I'm at a loss.....

Can you try another power supply just a 12v battery or something like that. ?

What does one exactly mean by "36V across the shunt"? A 36 voltage drop across the shunt resistor might be a little overwhelming.

Is this an " In Line " unit, pre built by ebikes.ca or was the shunt your own ?

I meant I just hooked up my 36 v battery to the in line shunt that came connected to the CA (controller hooks up to the other side)
