Carbide Lamp

A few old carbide lamps came my way.
This one looks to be all there.



This one was made by the
Hine-Watt mfg co Chicago USA
Model C Columbia Automatic
Patented 1899 and 1900

Some carbide is on order and I wonder will it glow or will it blow?

A steamer would really rock the top end, maybe a tadpole steamer fantasy old-fashioned turn of the century style. 8) Antique brass plated frame, Victorian style upholstery, that would really draw a crowd!

I got about 18 kilos or more of carbide..still in original germany Army World War II container..left over here on the island after the Germans left...Just need to find a nice lamp like that now

I`ll start rubbin this lamp and see if a steampunk trike building genie pops out.
Delta with a frock at each corner low rider / underslung seating
Wow need to start gathering more old brass era bling to pull that off.
Any styling tips or pointers welcome.

I've wanted one for a while for my old boardtrack Ebike build.

Are you planning to leave them Carbide burners, or are you thinking of electrifying them?
