I have got 2 x 48V 15Ah battery packs and would like to charge them in parallel with one charger to reduce charging time. Is this advisable and how do i go about it?

Their original chargers are 2A with a max. voltage of 54.6V. Each battery has its own built-in BMS.

There is a way to wire the charge port on the bms, so that one charger can charge both packs, and both packs remain protected by the bms.

But I don't recall the specifics, I've never done it myself. It's here somewhere, in a post by Dnmun. But searching this forum, oh boy,,,.

The fastest possible charge would still most likely be two chargers, each one at the max c rate the bms allows. Typical is 5 amps, sometimes 8 amps. Or if combined, then 10amps, or 16 amps.

Sure, it's a few plugs to deal with, but I just never saw it as much hassle to just unplug to separate the batteries, and plug in two chargers myself. That's what I do right now.
