I would like to know the capacity of this battery. It has 40 samsung ICR18650-22 (2200mah?) cells which are all exactly 4,16V. The battery is a 36V8.8ah which has dropped from 50% of original capacity to about 15% during the last 6 mounts.

1. Can i check each cell WITH all the nickelpads still connected or do i need to remove each battery to test their capacity?

2. I have an iMax B6(limited to 8 cells or 22V) so i would like to test just one cell to see how much capacity in ah is has left. Since they are connected in block of 4 they are most likely 2200ah in capacity. Can i connect my imax like this to test ONE cell or will it test all FOUR in this block.

3. Also can i charge/discharge these ICR (I = Lithium, C =cobalt , structure = LiCoO2) on the Lipo mode? They seem to have the same charging and discharging voltage?

You can test each group of 4 cells without breaKing any connections.
Or you could put the whole 36v pack under load and check each 4 cell group to see which one sags the most voltage or hits lowest voltage first. That will likely be the weakest group with a bad cell

How have you been using the pack. Your setup controller and motor. Yes you can use lipo setting. One bad cell will weaken the parallel string weaking the whole pack.
