Now I just want to see them make a $10k Tesla clone...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/picturegalleries/5208546/Chinas-copycars-familiar-looking-vehicles-at-Shanghai-Auto-2009.html

(be sure to see the mini cooper and smart car clones near the end)

I have spent some time in china and they do / will copy anything they deem worthy...
Hasn't it been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Also rember that in the very early days of motoring the "look" of most cars were nearly indistinguishable.
Most manufactures just copied the designs of the cars they liked.
Remember the VW's with a RR or 40's ford grill? And now the Bently grill for the Chrysler 300....
I'm not trying to incite disagreement but I do find it odd that someone can posses the ownership of a design or shape.
Yes the chinese have made blatant copies but I seriously doubt the cars perform as well as the real thing...
IMO the folks who can afford them will always buy the real deal...
Impostors will always take the cheap way out.

I watched this conspiracy video that said that this guy once attended a meeting in the 1970s in which the main speaker was an elite insider who knew future plans for the world. One of the plans was that every car in the future will look the same. All future cars will have same body and same engine.

If you are interested he also said, these things

1) elitists want to make USA a scary place so bridges will go without maintenance and roads will go without repairs all in efforts to make USA feel like tragic things can happen at anytime

2) in the future, something called a "death pill" will become available through black market means. Instead of old people living out their lives naturally, old people will be EXPECTED to terminate themselves on a given day. Before they end their lives with the death pill, a party will be thrown as a going away present and that night, their elders will terminate themselves. But it will be seen as a happy occasion in this "new age".

Those are 3 of the most interesting predictions that I can remember. The videos were very matter of fact. I was taken in by them because they were so independently made. There was no big-time celebrity backing it. Just this guy doing an anonymous audio blog about a meeting he attended. It was interesting.

China has a 125cc motorcycle rule...
only the cops are supposed to have more than 125cc that way they can't be outrun...
the motorbikes are all Honda or Honda clones... Yamaha and Suzuki even make and sell Honda clones... there are parts houses where you can buy any part on the bike ... forks, cylinder, wheels, frame, any / every part on the bike... some folks buy parts and just make their own bike and brand it whatever they think is a cool name... I've seen hundreds of different names like Yamazuki, Better, Homda, Suzkaha, Yahonki...
I think It's really neat...

Anyone can say most anything they want. The scary thing is that anyone will believe them when they say those kinds of things.
