been thinking of doing a drift trike for a while.
I have a 10 and 8 year old who would love it.
I don't have the equipment to learn how to weld so i would have to get a ready made trike frame.
I found a razor dxt for around $100 on craigslist/ebay
if I go with a 48v 1000 watt motor I am looking at $250-350 for a conversion kit
48 v 10 ah battery 2-300$

or I could just go for a ready made chinese drift trike. for between $550-600

at the end of day all the components to build my trike would have been affordable chinese components.

While I would like to build a trike it seems like I would be hard press to do it for less than a ready made product.

looking for advise or experience with the chinese ready made trikes.

Kids that young can badly hurt themselves riding a powered drift trike. I suggest that you wait a few years and have them try first with one that is not powered, unless you are willing to build a wheelchair next.

well noted

based on reviews this seems tame enough for my kids to have fun with proper guidance.

48 volts and 1000 watts is too much for even many adults in the General Public to handle. ( Most E.S. members that DIY conversions are people who will be able to handle performance products weather it is a Car / M.C. / Bike etc. )

The e-motor Drift Trike Idea is great for the kids, If it were me, I would just get them a 250-350 watt , up to 500 watts if it is geared low enough for lower speeds, 36 volts would be good enough for kids.
