The rights to this scooter design are now owned by Wagner Motor Works llc. They are called the V-Strada, come in a 125cc, 150cc semi or full auto and are located out of the DC area with frame fabrication and final assembly in CT. They can be purchased in a variety of spots online, Amazon, Ebay, Bonanza etc. They vary in price but average about $1895.00 with a basic configuration.

The new chassis, engines and accessories are much higher quality now, well designed for faster travel and better handling. The previous front end with the cross support over the wheel has been eliminated by using a 1" axle and there have been significant upgrades in suspension. Due to the unique chassis design, an electric model is expected in the 5-10kw range with 48-72volts

One of this scooter was posted on Ebay for $1500 awhile ago....good deal but I find the goped esr better. You can store it in your apartment and it fits in the trunk of your car.

I agree this one is cheaper and about 75% of the machine that the other one is. A brushless motor & awesome Lithium battery, and a 45kph top speed is quite wild I imagine.

Too bad they are not legal in most places.

Ahh Beto... That is pretty awesome. I forgot about that build. Makes me want to build one of those. Those would be much easier to transport than a bike.

Good point with the GoPed being a tad smaller and portable, but the VStrada150R can fit in the average trunk with a folding handlebar upgrade and it packs 15x the horsepower at only a marginally higher price. Yes I'm slightly biased as my user name indicates but it's easy to be passionate about, its truly the sickest stand on machine in production...And only getting better. Wait for the electric version
