100 kW
Just wanted to share with other electronics hobbyists.
Circa 1926-7, Yankee Pocket watch style Amperes meter. AC/DC, 35A.
so. One of my hobbies is old tools and tooling. found this yesterday in the junkyard on a buying run. Cost 4$.
A Gentleman must not be caught without his amperes gauge. Upon no occasion. Certainly not.
Junkyard bin find. Before the "multimeter"... I guess.. Before the Simpsons, before the modern Fluke all in one... multimeter.. I guess they followed the watchmakers in the instrument design. I have never seem an oldert portable electronics tool. Brass construction, nickel plated.
Still works. Almost 100 years old. Crystal is clear, amperage scale even has a small calibration amount available ( on the face, under the needle
. Calibrated with a ridiculously priced modern Flir. DM285... .. Still on the dot.
8 Ohm coil inside, a small iron bar to pick up the flux, and pull the (connected) needle onto the scale. A hairspring returns the needle to the resting position. Yes, the case is live, and current flows through it as part of the metering circuit. No markings ( V? I? rating ) other than what you see on the face.
Still works just fine!

Mods, Pls move if this is not the correct forum. TY!
