I recently installed a Clean Power Auto EV Display SOC gauge. It's a nice unit with two lines of display that can be configured to show any of the measured parameters. You can have a bar type fuel gauge, AH's remaining, percent of SOC, amps in and out, KW in and out, etc. Uses a hall effect pickup. Also reads and displays temperature of the cell it's connected to.
