Hi

I was hoping to connect my ESC to the lipo. My ESC has 4mm connectors and my lipo has dean connectors.

I don't own a sole ring iron so I was hoping just use a connector. I was wondering if this would work? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Etronix-4mm-Gold-Banana-to-Deans-type-plug-ET0268-/221920187513?txnId=1639289308012

:) Sole ring iron = soldering iron

Typically, people will just solder and remove the connector they don't want and purchase matching connectors and swap the connector.

The one you suggested is typically a battery charger adapter.

This one might be a better option depending on what connectors you need http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HXT-4mm-Connector-to-T-plug-Deans-conversion-charge-lead-/281834742985?hash=item419ea8e4c9:g:eek:1gAAOSwwbdWJ31l.

Besides amp rating for connectors, the connectors are interchangeable and just pass through current.

While that may fit in the bullet housing and may work for a while, I personally wouldn't use banana plugs on my battery or in a high vibration environment.

I would assume that adapter is made for going between balancer charger and the battery.
And it looks pretty flimsy, some banana plugs are rated over 10A but not those ones.....

I suggest you learn to solder, or learn to crimp.
Or just buy one from Hobbyking
