Hello All,
My work commute changed due to a new job and its in a range that is just a bit too long for everyday riding non electric but perfect for e assist. I am considering the Radwagon as I would need to carry my laptop with me often. I have done a bit of research on the radwagon and they seem to be well liked with a few hicups here and there. However on the other end, I could build my own. In 2013, I purchased a Nuvinci bub electric developers kit and its been sitting ever since. I was thinking, why not use what I have. The Bafang 1000w setup with a 48V battery and my Nuvinci hub would likely work well. My guess is it would ultimately cost more than the Radwagon, but I might end up with a better bike all around. My concern is I read that many of the nuvinci hubs have issues and I can only surmise that my developer kit being an earlier version would have even more issues. Is my developers kit worth using or are they known to not work well? Doe the harmony shifter work with the developers kit hub?
I am leaning toward the Radwagon as I a sure I coudl not build one any cheaper, but in doing so would end up with a Hub motor and I prefer the Bafang setup which is why I am on the fence.
I am open to any suggestions.
