I have GGoodrums BMS hooked up tyo my 48v/20ah Headway battery.

I have been having some problems with cells not balancing properly. I checked all cells, and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the cells, or the BMS.

I finally nailed it down to bad contacts in the 17-pin connector between the BMS and the battery cells.

I cleaned the pins in the connector with some alcohol, and the battery then balanced as it should.

I was wondering if someone could recommend a good conductive grease or something to help ensure better continuity in the contacts.

Use contact cleaner, or bend the pins slightly so they make better contact with the plug (or hardwire and remove the problem completely).

i imagine there are many products out there, but this one came highly recommended to me by a knowledgeable friend. It is called CW7100 Silver Conductive Grease

Conductive grease on a close pitch connector is a recipe for disaster.

I see what you mean. I went back and re=read the original post and realized it was regarding one of those multi pin row connectors... and that wold definitely not be a good idea IMO either... too easy to get a short across from one pin to another. The silver grease I mentioned was recommended to me in the context of things like battery tab/stud connectors especially in high corrosion environments, like sea vessels etc.

^^^ That's what I've been worried about.

I think a good cleaning with alcohol or lacquer thinner will have to do.
