Hi, I'm Kim from South Korea.
I find this web-site during surfing the Internet.
I'm student in college, and I make a Electric car.
It is about 210kg without driver. (include batteries)
I use 48V system.

I have Agni 143 motor. And now I use Alltrax AXE-4855 500A.
However, I want to buy controller with regen function.
Could you recommend controller for me? (it must have regen funtion.)
I think Kelly, Sigma controller.

And Also I have a question. What is the different 4Q and 2Q? (I think it is used about motor or controller) :? :?
One more, I heard I can use 400A controller and 500A controller.
What is the diffterent 400A and 500A? just limit the current?
I heard 500A is better output than 400A, right? then if I use more than 500A controller, It makes better output?

Thank you for reading! I think this web-site is the best to get my answer.

What is the different 4Q and 2Q?

Q means quadrant. That would be a sector of a 4 quadrant map of RPM and torque. For instance, assign CW rotation (+RPM) to forward travel of vehicle; then CCW (-RPM) is different quadrant and reverse travel. Similar with torque. Positive torque accels car forward (motoring) and negative torque accels car in reverse direction or brakes (decels) car if travel is forward.

So the motor and controller combination for a:

Single quadrant (1Q) provides forward motoring only. +RPM, +Torq

Two quadrant (2Q) provides forward motoring and regen braking. +RPM, +Torq, -Torq

Four quadrant (4Q) provides forward and reverse travel and motoring and braking for both directions. +RPM, -RPM, +Torq, -Torq

hi Kim,
welcome to the forum and a very nice build you have there.
Will this be for track or street use ?
