I just received a Cute-85/Q85 250W Front Driving Hub Motor from BMSBattery shop, which in turn are produced by EcityPower. When buying, I selected the motor to be placed on a 20'' rim/wheel.
I don't have yet the motor with spokes and rim, but I put it on the bicycle fork and made some quick tests using a variable lab power supply:
Tests to Cute-85/Q85 250W Front Driving Hub Motor of 20'' rim/wheel
Vin: 19.2; RPM: 213.1; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 25.7km/h
Vin: 24.0; RPM: 266.4; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 32.1km/h
Vin: 29.0; RPM: 319.6; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 38.5km/h
Vin: 31.0; RPM: 334.9; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 40.4km/h
Later I bought the same motor but "version" 16'' rim/wheel, because I wanted more speed... I live on a flat city and I need to go to other near city of 25km distance. I also made the same tests:
Tests to Cute-85/Q85 250W Front Driving Hub Motor of 16'' rim/wheel
Vin: 19.2 and 1.0A; RPM: 257.0; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 31.0km/h
Vin: 24.0 and 1.2A; RPM: 315.1; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 38.0km/h
Vin: 29.4 and 1.3A; RPM: 385.6; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 46.5km/h
Vin: 31.0 and 1.4A; RPM: 410.4; velocity if applied to my 26'' rim/wheel: 49.5km/h
I bought and used the "Hall Sensor 250Watts Brushless Hub Motor Controller for EBike" and did run the tests with the hall sensors connected and unconnected but the motor RPM didn't changed nor the current used. This means that this controller can correctly controll this hub motors with or without hall sensors.
The controller also have a speed limit option/wires and the tests were done without speed limit.
The controller also have "cruise" which works as expected.
