Daly active bms - problem cell type and cell count

Hi, I bought an active Daly (blue version). I wanted to take it for a 20s li ion batterie. But there is a problem with the app communication. With the smart bms app it is not possible to change the cell type to li ion. there is only lifepo4 and lto but no li ion. (see picture). Furthermore it's not possible to change the cell count from 24 to 20. Do you have an idea? thank you very much from Germany

Maybe the BMS version you have is simply incapable of those settings (wrong hardware and/or firmware). You'd probably have to contact DALY to find out why.

Note also that DALY is a popular brand and is thus likely to be counterfeited a fair bit, so be sure you have a genuine part; if it isn't then all sorts of things could be different about it from the real thing.

Also a change from 24 to 20 can be solved with just different kind of wiring from cells to bms, alot of bms-s are capable for x cells but can be used with less if the manufacturer has provided wiring diagrams

Its also the same as the 100balance bms app - you might want to try that
