Dewalt 28V nano .... still with A123

Last week i got some Dewalt battery and i got my hand on a 28V nano

here is it.. and a comparative with all NANO dewalt battery... the 18V, the 28V and the 36V.

Apparently they can be charged by the DC9000 charger.

The dewalt representative explain that they developped this serie to offer light weight pack and still keep them powerfull.

Or to have a directly competitive product to the Milwaukee V28s, which have a great reputation amongst service repair centers I've talked to. The half dozen or so regional tool service centers I've contacted for spare v28s haven't gotten any returned to them yet. Damn! :wink:

I don't understand how it can be charged by the dc9000 charger. On the bottom mine specifically say 36v out. I do remember reading that it would work though. Crazy stuff!

yes it's 8 cells

We have a couple of power tool service centers in Vancouver, BC, how do you manage to charm these people into giving you the cells? I have tried homedepot recycling and they gave me "sorry due to liability concerns, when a recycled battery is in our possession we cannot let you have it." Seemed a bit silly but very discouraging!

I had the same problem at a DeWalt service center. They said it was company policy to turn dead packs over to a recycler and I couldn't talk them into donating to my very worthy cause...
