This one is very short, small enough that I can attach it via the forum attachment system.

Of course, a poll to go with it. :D

Will have the Quick time version up as soon as quicktime is done converting

For the time allotted, the show covered the topic about as well as I had expected. I would have appreciated a longer program that used the extra time to compare and contrast the physical construction of different kinds of electric motors, and different manufacturing techniques.

Thanks,
Hopefully some better ones in the future will arrive. The next one I found was a history channel program on the history of motors, electric motors being part of the show. I'm hoping that will be a bit longer, maybe some information about electric motors. It's always good to learn, something we see in the shows might get our attention as to a better way to do something.

I didn't know for example, they dip the entire motor case to insulate it against water. It's neat to see them work on a motor that big, makes for easy camera action too :D

I saw this show on tv already... they discuss things from a manufacturing standpoint ("How Things Are Made") and not the theoretical standpoint. Hmmmm... it was okay.

Sweet mother of giant motor. Thanks! I'm always amazed with this show, at how much of a manual process alot of these manufacturing operations are considering how much could really be automated.
