Do you dress up (or decorate) for Halloween?

I don’t (normally) dress up. I go out with the family, wife and kids dress up. I just was never in to it. I think it’s a waste of time and money. I did dress a few times though. I was a mummy and another year was 80s themed, so those were cheap and ready. That was pre-kids and we were partying a lot. I worked a late shift and my wife was a bartendress. Now, I watch everyone else dress up. I’ve always been the “observer” type. Not in a creepy way, like that old guy in the corner with shades on at night, Im just a genuinely curious person. I like to people watch. This is especially fun at music festivals. That’s my jam!

I have dressed a few times with the family. Once as a butterfly and another as peterpan. The peterpan was when we went to Disneyland with another family. All 8 of us were a character from peterpan. That was fun.

I’m normally a “go with the flow” type guy. I like to please people. I know I can’t please everyone though, so try to enforce a limit to my efforts. I don’t mind making fun of myself to make someone else laugh. I love hearing people laugh, especially my family.

It's also not for me. My lady is an introvert too, we stay home, drink, and watch old corny movies!

Yup. That’s me. I’ve never been the life of the party, but I’m always invited.

I think the issue with us introverts is that if there isn't a tangible point to the social interaction, we find it extremely draining.
Once you're an adult, events like Halloween don't have a point unless you're looking to hit on some temporarily scantily clad women.

Get two introverts on the phone on the topic of something they're interested in, and they can talk for hours. They're suddenly not introverts.

I'd rather be doing nerdy stuff than interacting with humans but my exception is that i kick ass at public speaking and managing people. It's something that took a lot of grinding to get good at. Why did i get good at it? it makes me money and i'm interested in it.

I believe acquiring the skill of 'hang out with people for no particular reason' may be impossible for me & also not worth the long grind to get there.

I used to...we had a local "Thriller" dance downtown (college town) for several years, and it drew huge crowds, which made the people watching a lot of fun. At one point we had three groups doing them, one started out with the dancers in the crowd (they trained for weeks beforehand) in a sunken gravel parking lot. A bunch of headlights would come on, and the zombies would shamble into the light,and dance...the whole town partied after., lots of eye candy in the bars.

When my boys were younger, taking them out for trick or treat while in costume was a lot of fun.
